Rev. Ken's Morning Prayer: "Hello! It is prayer time once again, and I invite you to get comfortable and to allow my words to become yours. Today, we offer a prayer of gratitude. No matter what's going on, we offer our thanks, because St. Paul reminded us, 'In all things, give thanks.' Not for all things - but in the midst of all things, we give thanks. So, I invite you in this moment to let my words become yours. We are grateful, grateful for the opportunity to shine i...n this moment, to let our presence be a beacon for others, as we are inspired by others' strength, and tenacity, and ingenuity. We give thanks for the opportunities we have to share of our wealth, share of our good fortune, share of our food, our beings, with other people in our community, other people in need, other people who are struggling. For in this moment, we are one with God, and all solutions exist in spirit, in our hearts and minds. And they are all at hand. So, today, we offer ourselves fully and completely, with gratitude and abandon, to say thank you - I am so grateful, so blessed. Thank you! I have no complaints. Rev. Ken's Daily Prayer: "Hello! It is prayer time once again, and I wanted us today to take a moment to pause and to pray for and with all of the souls we've lost to the coronavirus over the last week. With all of the political turmoil and the unbelievable riots happening in Washington, DC, our capital, this week, at the same time, we lost 4,000 people on Wednesday and Thursday to coronavirus. And that number is just staggering, and I want us to be able to acknowledge, he...lp support with prayer and our consciousness all of those families. So, let's take a moment and breathe into the center of our being, where we connect the Divine energy, the Source, the One. And as we breathe into this moment, we know that we are one, we are connected, we are aligned with all souls, all souls on this planet. So, we feel the grief and the pain of families who are losing mothers and fathers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and children. The pain, the heartache of those losses will be felt for years to come, but in this moment, we send our love and support. We know that the Divine power that we are connected to, that power we call God, is with them right now, giving them strength, and courage, and comfort. For the Divine energy of God can take any form we need it to take. Today, we ask for our Comforter to arrive, our Supporter to hold us, and our Champion to help guide us through this time. That energy of the Divine in us arrives in the form of friends, of nurses, of doctors, of colleagues, of family members, and it comes from places we have not been aware of before. So, today, wherever we are, we give thanks for the unseen support. The unknown colleagues. And the constant presence of God in our lives. While we may be going through the valley of the shadow, we take comfort, for God is with us every step of the way. And so it is. Amen." (1/8/21) See more

Rev. Ken's Morning Prayer: "Hello! It is prayer time once again, and today, as I woke up, I meditated and really got clear that the prayer for today, or intention for today, is forgiveness. So, let's take this moment to come together and pray for a forgiving heart. As we open our minds to this moment, we call upon the Divine presence everywhere around us and everywhere within us, to flood our consciousness, our understanding, with the power and the grace of forgiveness. F...or as we move into this time, into, fully into 2021, we have more than ample opportunities to forgive ourselves and others, to let go of resentment and fear and judgment, and to lift our consciousness to that of the Divine, to that of no condemnation, no self-righteousness, but the understanding that everyone, at any time, can make a mistake. And that as fellow human beings having this spiritual experience, our purpose, our job, our calling is to forgive with grace, with gusto, with abandon. So, while that may, at times, prove difficult, we know that the One Power and Presence is right here, in us and as us, encouraging, strengthening, and enabling us to forgive everything. For in the forgiving, in the letting go of the pain, we open ourselves to the highest good, experience God in all of its power and presence in our lives, and know peace, happiness, and serenity. Rev. Ken's Morning Prayer: "Hello! It is decidedly time for prayer. As we watched yesterday the events of the day unfold, I was reminded of the saying of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr: 'Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.' So, today, I offer us a prayer for the healing of our nation. As we breathe into this moment, I invite you to let my words become your words, and that you open your heart and your mind to compassion and love. As we breathe in this moment, w...e send our love and compassion to all the people involved in yesterday's violence and uprising in Washington, D.C., and the reverberations of that, of course, are not limited to Washington, D.C. So, we open our hearts and minds even further, and send love to the entire nation. For right now, here, in the midst of this pain, what is needed is the salve, the balm of love, compassion, understanding, patience, and listening. While there is decidedly always a time for action, there is always a need for our feet and hands and voice to be heard, all of it must be tempered with the amazing power of love. It is one of our Twelve Powers; we call upon that facility of love right now, that Divine energy, and know that God, the Divine, is love itself. We bring ourselves to this day and set our intention to be love in action, to be love in words, to be love in consciousness. And as we do, we see ourselves open, ourselves shift, and the world around us, too. For what we are called to be is something greater than we have ever experienced before. We let go of having to hold ourselves up, knowing that in each moment, the Earth, our surroundings, are supporting us. And as we breathe once again, I invite you to let my words become your words. Today, we have been brought to this moment to be the voice of love and compassion, so that ...our presence can extend God's presence here on Earth, knowing that there is no separation, that God is already present everywhere. We take on the role of ambassadors, as reminders, as agents of that love, as we bring forth the love that exists within us, that never-ending supply comes forth to every situation, where we see each individual we interact with, each individual we see in TV, on social media, in the news, as God's perfect child. And we wish them well, give them love and compassion, and in doing so, heal the planet. As today is the weekend before Día de los Muertos, I thought we would do a prayer for our ancestors and for all who have come before us. So, we take this moment to breathe into the present moment, feeling the power, the affection of the Divine, in us and everywhere around us. Feeling that warm embrace of Divine Spir...it. And we say, thank you - thank you for all who have come before, our ancestors, those who have preceded us in this path, for their love, their support, their wisdom is right here in our hearts. They have left this earth, but not left us. For they are always available. Their wisdom continues. Their affection warms us. And their love is passed on, through us, and through all that came before. We are here, in this moment, richer, fuller, more wise, more patient, more loving. So, we take this day and remember. We remember the Truth, that everyone who has come before has laid the groundwork for us to thrive, to live, to love, and to soar. So, we say thank you. Thank you for all that you have done. As we move into this day, we know that we are connected to the infinite Divine, that source of strength in us and everywhere around us, the energy, the power that is our birthright as expressions of the Divine, as children of God. By whatever name we describe it, this One Power and Presence is everywher...e - everywhere in us, and everywhere around us. So, we connect to that universal power, that infinite Source, as we go through the tasks and agendas of our day. We set our intention, we go forth knowing that everything we need is provided, the fortitude, the tenacity, the wisdom, the physical strength to accomplish our goals for the day, and we set our intention and our agenda on accomplishing the best and highest for ourselves and for others, so that everyone we interact with, our accomplices, our helpers, messengers of the Divine that are here to assist us in our journey, with this attitude, with this understanding, with this knowledge, we know that no one is against us and everything and everyone is working for us and our highest good. In this state of knowing, in this peace of mind, we set forth today and are grateful. Grateful for everything that happens. So, today, we start by saying, I am so blessed, and I am so grateful. As we lift our voice in this moment, we know that God is present within us and everywhere around us, that the energy, the Divine energy that we call God, is always here, always at work. So, in this time of COVID, this time of disease and sickness, we call upon every cell and atom ...of the human body, of the human mind, of human consciousness, to rise up. To rise up in awareness of God's power, strength, and wisdom, operating in us and as us. And for the people who are sitting with diagnosis right now, in hospitals, receiving treatment for COVID, we hold the high watch, knowing that the doctors and nurses caring for them, the medical staff, and all the technology is God in expression, working with them, lifting their Divine identity up, their God presence in every cell and atom of their body, to the forefront, so that God's power and love, the wisdom of the Divine, is present, whole, restoring and healing their body, every cell, every muscle, every tissue, every organ, lifting, strengthening, empowering. This is the truth of our being, that we are one with the Divine, one with the Divine maker, made in the image and likeness, and today, for all of our family and friends who need that, we are the lighthouse, shining the truth for all to be taken care of, lifted, and healed. Rev. Ken's Morning Prayer: "Good morning, and Happy New Year! It is time to start our prayer tradition up once again, and what a perfect time - the first workweek of the new year. So, we open our hearts and minds to this moment, and we give thanks for the infinite possibilities that lie ahead. As we sit here at the precipice of 2021, we know that as we set our intention, our good unfolds from the Divine within us and everywhere around us. We see 2021 as prosperous; we see... it as joy-filled, filled with community, with friends, with family; we see the bliss of being able to interact again. We hold in our hearts and minds the peaceful resolution of conflicts, both within our own minds and on the planet. We know that, together, we can accomplish many things, and we take down the barriers we have erected of us and them, the barriers of right and wrong, good and evil, and see the wholeness and truth, the Divine nature of all beings. We are all one in God's eyes; in Divine truth, we are together, in sync, in harmony with each other. We focus on that truth, rather than the appearances of distance, or conflict, and lack. And when we do, we create a world that works for all people. We create a new Earth, Heaven on Earth, and we restore Eden. So, as we take this moment to come together, we feel the presence of the Divine in us and everywhere around us, and know that there is no separation. So, we give thanks - we give thanks for the abundance of our lives. No matter what is going on on the outside, no matter what our personal situation may be, we know that there is an infinite amount of beauty and possibil...ity in the world, of grace and kindness, of harmony and balance. And as we open our eyes and experience life and all of its splendor, we give thanks for the beauty of the human race, all of its diversity, and all of its wisdom. In this moment, we breathe into the very presence and the power of the Divine, knowing that, two thousand years ago, an event happened that was recorded by followers of Jesus. An event that changed their lives, and changed lives of many people on the planet. But that event is not limited in time and space, and we know that right here and righ...t now, the Divine is showering upon us that same blessing, and that the energy of the Divine is birthing our Christ nature, our holy presence, our Divine energy, coming forth, growing, illuminating for the whole world to see. So, today, we allow the power of the Divine in us to be seen, to be known, to be heralded. I bring you tidings of great joy, for in you today is born the Savior - the one they call the Messiah, the Divine energy of love, of life, and light. So, if you don't feel this way, I invite you to join me in this prayer for others. So, as we relax into this moment, we take a deep breath and allow the chair or wherever we are to hold us completely. And I ask you to allow my voice to become your voice. Holy One, as we sit i...n this moment, we sit here knowing that the energy and the power, the life force that we call God, is everywhere present, in us and everywhere around us. We call upon that power, that energy, that life force right here and now, to lift those who are feeling depressed and overwhelmed by this holiday season. Alone and isolated, we sear our consciousness with their awareness, and that the power of the Divine is at work right now in their life and in their mind. We see them lifting up in consciousness, cutting through the fog, allowing others to help them, and seeking a connection, a relationship, an experience with God and each other. This process may not happen instantly, but it can happen when we all hold it, that there is no one outside our circle of love, there is no one outside our circle of hope and prayer, and as we envelope and fold and hold the whole world, we lift up every being to its highest and greatest potential. As Christmas approaches and Hanukkah just passed, we celebrate the season together by lighting the candles for Joy and Peace in our hearts. So, I invite you to get calm and centered, and allow my voice to become your voice as we join together today in prayer. We come to this moment and align ourselves with the One Power and the One Presence. Knowing that we live and move and breathe and have our being in ...God, we know that there can be no separation, no distance at all. So, we open our hearts and minds to this truth and light the candle for Joy, for in the midst of every circumstance in our life, we can bring joy, bring light, bring love, and be the presence, the consciousness, and the energy that shifts the situation and reveals its true nature, its Divine order, and its ultimate peace. Today, we bring joy to every part of our life, to every circumstance, and to every person on the planet. All the bitterness, the discord, the attacks have to be turned around and see the commonality between us all. So, let's take this moment to awaken our consciousness to our connectedness, rather than our divisiveness. I invite you to get comfortable and to allow my words to become your words. Holy Spirit, we come together in this moment, and we lay down all of our w...eapons, our attacks, our vindictiveness, and our anger. We open ourselves to empathy and compassion so that we may see, feel, and understand our brothers and sisters, that we may connect with them on a heart basis, on an intellectual basis, and understand why people are living in fear and dread and anger. We come together and offer ourselves as the healing balm for a nation built to bring people together from all walks of life; we come together to build the bridge right now, from anger to hope. From fear to vision. From hate to love. While this road may not be easy, we know it is essential, and we give thanks for Your Divine Spirit, support, and guidance along the way. In this moment, we realize that we are one with the One Power and One Presence, that energy, that life force we call God, The Divine, Spirit, Source. And as we breathe once again, we rea...lize also that everything we need is provided, showered upon us, from the Divine. So, we open our awareness, our consciousness, to the infinite flow of good from God. We open every channel, every possible source or channel of our good from the One Source, we open ourselves to receiving our good from places we haven't even imagined, so that the abundance we need is able to arrive at our fingertips, in our very lives, in our experience. So, for this time, for the awareness of our infinite good, and the receiving of it, we give thanks here and now, for what we have and what is yet to come. We say, I am so richly blessed!
