This week has been chaotic to say the least. Practice listening to your mind and don’t overwhelm it with the constant content. #umatter
Even though sometimes it feels like we can’t! #umatter
Tomorrow marks the first day of dead week BUT it’s also is the start of the De-Stress Fest! Make sure to check the schedule for the perfect break to all that studying! Remember you mental health is more important to than the exam you’ve been cramming for for the last 8 hours. Be kind to yourself this week! #umatter

This week Michala and Alexa, recent Chico State graduates, discuss what life has been like post-grad. Graduating college is a big milestone, as we know this class of 2020 did not get the graduation that they were prepared for that they were looking forward to. Jobs are scarce and hard to come by, these are hard times and college grads wanted to talk about their experience with it all. https://soundcloud.com//ep-24-covid-graduates-class-of-202 As previously here are the reso...urces which are listed at the end of the podcast! National Disaster Distress Helpline 24/7 @ 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUs to 66746 to speak to a caring counselor. We at UMatter are here, we support our students of color and in this time specifically our black students and we will continue to support you, as this graphic states, 'You belong here. Racism doesn't.' We want our fellow Wildcats to know that we not only have always been an ally but that we are continuously learning how to be better allies to any group of students who are marginalized and who feel that they are not welcome or included properly. We understand that everything g...oing on this year and in the past couple of months can be very overwhelming if you need extra support please call our WellCat Counseling and Wellness Center at (530) 898-6345 and you will be connected with someone. This is not the time to sit back and watch everything unfold, this is the time to stand up for what is right, this is the time to stand up for those around us who are not treated equal and this is the time to be an ally in front of the scenes rather than behind. #morethanamovement #BlackLivesMatter #pridemonth #csuchico #chicostate #youbelonghereracismdoesnt #umatter See more

Black Lives Matter, we stand with you and we will stand with you until there is true justice and equality. Injustice and inequality hurt our mental health so much as we at UMatter want to be a part of the change in how we interact with each other, how we speak to each other and how we can better ally’s to people color. We are here with you and we are listening and we are learning more day by day!

Small steps everyday, we don't need to take big leaps everyday to have a successful day or to have been productive. #csuchico #chicostate #umatter
We know that this month was mental health awareness month but that doesn't mean that we stop talking about mental health and its importance now that this month is over. Mental health issues don't start and stop during this month, they are happening every day, every day people are struggling, every day people are trying to provide help and be advocates. Let's talk about mental health all year round, let's break the stigma, let's break the silence.
There is hope, you can recover from the things that ail you. There are some mental health problems that we cannot cure but we have the medicine, the help, and the resources to at the very least make the suffering that some may experience not as painful. We don't want anyone who is struggling to give up hope and lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. There are people in the world who care and who want to help in any way that you need, we just need you to reach out. Please take advantage of the resources in your area however you can, we are here to help and we want to see you grow and blossom, take care of yourselves and those around you <3 #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthadvocate #breakthestigma #greenribbon #mythvsfact #seekhelp #mentalhealthillness #nami #csuchico #chicostate #umatter
