We would like to thank Mendocino Sheriff and City of Ukiah Police Departmentfor their quick response to a break in Saturday morning around 6:00am. The suspect forced his way into the building, he was caught in our cameras and by the alarm. MCSO arrived within a few minutes and placed the suspect under arrest without incident. Due to the size of the building, UPD assisted with clearing the building. He was the only suspect inside. ... MCSO requested footage of the incident, with all the cameras the gym has in and around it, there was not one step the suspect took inside or outside the building without us being able to see. This is one of our few camera angles that would not let people clearly see his face, we have much clearer pictures we could post however he is in custody. We would rather let the legal system take care of the suspect. Instead we want to use this post to THANK our local law enforcement for their quick response and professionalism!! Since March when COVID hit, this is the 4th theft but 1st break in. With our cameras we have been able to identify ALL suspects and MCSO has made arrests on all (one we felt was more of an assumption with an apology so no charges were pressed) Thank you to all involved in all these incidents. Today is the annual BLACK FRIDAY special at UVAC. We want to make sure everyone knows you can sign up online WWW.UVAC.CLUB or in the Gym, we are open until 9:00PM tonight. Once a year we do our no initiation fee (Black friday) special, (normally $200) If you know someone that has been thinking of joining or if you are, now is the time! We have both indoor and outdoor set up so no matter what tier we are in we will always be ready for you! ... UVAC has gone above and beyond with our COVID protection. We check temperatures on ALL guests and staff as you walk in the door, we have UV light in all our work out rooms, we use quality air filters in all HVAC units, we have fresh air pumped into every room, along with ULPA filters spread out in the building.
