Voting day is TOMORROW, Tuesday Nov 5th! Two very important ballot measures we think you should know about are Prop's A and E. Prop A provides $600 million in bonds to fund affordable housing, while Prop E reduces zoning restrictions for affordable housing and educator housing projects. Thanks to everyone who attended our Fall 2019 Mega-training for new volunteers! We had lots of nursing and medical students present and we were joined by volunteers from Clinica Martin Baro. As you can see we had a mix of lecture and hands-on learning in small groups. We covered taking history and writing SOAP notes, making patient-centered referrals, performing derm exams, responding to emergency scenarios, taking vitals and performing pulmonary and cardiovascular exams. We're honored to have the opportunity to provide foundational training to UCSF health professional students. We hope this early training sets the tone for an educational experience rooted in interprofessionalism and service.
