If you’ve been pregnant during the Coronavirus pandemic, join the UCSF PRIORITY Study. Featured in the NY Times & SF Chronicle. PRIORITY is a nationwide study of pregnant or recently pregnant people who are either under investigation for Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) or have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This study is being done to help patients and healthcare providers better understand how COVID-19 impacts pregnant people and their newborns.
Most clinical research includes participants who are overwhelmingly white, non-Hispanic, and, until recently, male... For the most part, current medical therapies, as well as most of those in development, have been tested inadequately or not at all in women, children, older adults, individuals with multiple chronic conditions, low-income individuals, and racially and ethnically diverse populations.
