Four of our own Housing Services staff members have volunteered at the UCSF vaccine clinics. Thanks to Emmy Bagshaw, Kay Coelho, Colette Ono-Ko, and Maria Mayer Mahoney for their efforts! Maria told us, "It’s really remarkable to see how these clinics run. They’re well-oiled machines with each person contributing in their own way. Clinicians are set up at stations throughout these large meeting rooms. There are volunteers checking people in, directing foot-traffic, sanitizing chairs, running vaccines from the pharmacy to the clinicians, replenishing supplies, etc. It was rewarding to see these vaccinations happening in real time, to real people. I left feeling really encouraged and optimistic."
