UCSF Outdoor Programs and Rec Sports

The weather is gorgeous! We've got a Mission Creek Sunset Kayak trip today and tomorrow from 5-7 pm! Make all your East coast and Mid-West friends and family jealous! February in the Bay Area is epic!

It's a great time for a hike to Carson Falls in Marin county! Head out thru Fairfax onto the Bolinas-Fairfax rd to the trailhead across from the Azalea Hill trail parking pull out. It's only about 1.6 miles to the Falls and you can do either an out and back or link a couple trails to do a loop. Awesome spring time hike! https://goo.gl/maps/fvEt6zmcsi2jbmUR9

The rain is gone and sunny, beautiful days are on the way! Even if you're planning on planting it down in front of a TV for Superbowl Sunday, we've got something for you! Thurs and Friday: come on out and kayak or paddleboard at your own pace! Take a break, bring a co-worker and stretch your body for change of pace on the water. We have rentals available in 1 hr blocks from 2-5 pm on both Thursday and Friday and we'll offer these every week, weather permitting too! Saturday... Mission Creek and Beyond Kayaking 1-3 pm This is a guided program where we'll be heading towards the Bay Bridge, checking out the views and sea lions along the way. Mission Creek Sunset Kayaking 4-6 pm Dress warm for a gorgeous paddle out to McCovey Cove for the Sunset and the Bay Bridge lights coming alive. Great paddle for beginners. We have paddle pants to keep your legs warm and dry. Sunday (Superbowl doesn't start until 3:30 pm) Mission Creek and Beyond 10 am-12 pm We'll be heading out to McCovey Cove and taking a right to see how far we can get and then ride the tide back.

Contact Fitness and Recreation Membership to get an Outdoor Pass which will allow you to sign up for programs. We've got kayaking, paddleboarding and sunset kayak programs this weekend!
