Johnathan Rice’s paper also came out in Global and Planetary Change over the summer. We had a slew of help on his paper, but John did a tremendous amount of work categorizing and describing the 38 cores we took from the Nueces Delta. He found a really interesting story related to the role of climate in that delta. https://www.sciencedirect.com//a/abs/pii/S0921818120301041

I’ve been behind updating this page. Obviously, we haven’t been able to get out into the field the last 6 months but papers have continued to flow. Dr. Zurbuchen’s second paper came out in Sedimentology over the summer and her third was accepted in the Journal of Coastal Research (more on that later). In the mean time - great job Julie! https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/sed.12702

Great field trip for Sequence Stratigraphy our into the Nevada and California desert. We even saw the GSSP for the Mississippian-Pennsylvanian boundary.

Tomales Bay is a beautiful location to core. The coring could have gone better but hopefully we will have more opportunities to core.

It’s always good to be collecting cores. We got out with Ana Ejarque and Scott Anderson down near San Diego. Looking forward to seeing what the pollen says. We also found some fun Gastropoda. Thank you for helping Brittany and Cameron.
