Last but certainly not least we'd like to feature Dr. Chelsea Anorma. Dr. Anorma is actually a double Anteater. She got her BS degree from UCI in 2014 and is now completing her post-doctoral research with Professor Martin. Dr. Anorma is becoming a Professor at Pomona College!
Congratulations to Elliott Einstein who will be graduating this year with his BS in Chemistry and will be applying to medical school next year!
Congratulation to Kimberly Zhang who will be graduating with her BS this year. Kimberly will be starting her PhD in chemistry at MIT this Fall. She wants to become a professor in the future!
Congratulations to Ana Barrionuevo who is graduating from our department with a BS in Chemistry. After graduation Ana will be applying to medical school. Congrats Ana!
Our second graduate that is being featured is TJ Cross. He has worked in the Martin Group and will be pursuing his PhD at UCLA in the Fall. Congratulations TJ!

We are starting a new feature: Throwback Thursdays (#tbt). Have a look at the first paper we are presenting. A Nature paper from Sherry Rowland and Mario Molina from 1974.
Dr. Mario Molina was a huge part of our department, and an incredible contributor to the science on negative effects of CFCs on ozone. He was the first Mexican-born scientist to receive a Nobel Prize. We are deeply saddened by the news of his passing.

Chang Liu, an associate professor of biomedical engineering with an appointment in our department received an $8.4 million grant for developing new antibody generation methods.
