1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner (National Center for Injury Prevention and Control). Domestic violence is not limited to the physical, it can also include emotional, psychological and financial aspects. In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we'd like to acknowledge how difficult it can be to identify or report instances of domestic abuse. If you are seeking support for yourself or for s...omeone you know, UCDPD is available 24/7 to investigate reports of violence and provide additional resources. Additionally, UC Davis has Center for Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE) offices at both the Davis campus and the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento where victim advocates provide emergency response services as well as scheduled appointments. CARE services are confidential and do not require reporting to law enforcement. See CARE website for additional resources or to schedule an appointment: https://care.ucdavis.edu/ #domesticviolenceawareness #dvam #dvam2020 #supportsurvivors #ucdcare

With school just a few days away, we would expect campus to be filled with events and hundreds of students getting ready to find their classes. While this quarter is going to look a little different than usual, we want to remind everyone to stay safe and socially distant. Remember to wear your masks, wash your hands, and give this quarter your all! #UCDPD #UCDavisHealth #GoAggies #RemoteLearning
