UC Cooperative Extension Small Farm Program 02.07.2021

Quality Loss Adjustment (QLA) Program USDA announces Quality Loss Assistance for eligible producers affected by 2018 and 2019 natural disasters. Signups began on Jan. 6, 2021. Funded by the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2020, this new program provides assistance to producers who suffered eligible crop quality losses due to natural disasters occurring in 2018 and 2019. The deadline to apply for QLA is Friday, March 5, 2021. For more information, visit https://www.farmers.gov/quality-loss, or contact your local USDA Service Center. Producers can also obtain one-on-one support with applications by calling 877-508-8364.

UC Cooperative Extension Small Farm Program 19.06.2021

The California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program is now open and is taking applications through January 13th. All agricultural businesses are eligible to apply for these grants. The amount of grant funding ranges from $5,000 to $25,000. Businesses are eligible based on their annual revenue as documented in their most recent tax return. The application and all information about the grant can be found here: https://careliefgrant.com/ Information on the website is available in multiple languages, and farmers can apply through partner organizations that also provide language support.
