Music alum Michael Sy Uy (B.A. '07) has published a new book "Ask the Experts: How Ford, Rockefeller, and the NEA Changed American Music," through Oxford University Press. In 2013 Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg spoke at Berkeley Law and asked the Chamber Chorus to share some music with her at the Women's Faculty Club. Berkeley Music is deeply saddened by the passing of such a monumental figure in American life.

Assistant Professor Maria Sonevytsky has been awarded a Hellman Fellows Fund to develop work on Soviet children's music.
