Our Caller Spotlight for the week is our very own amazingly talented, Mariele Schut! She is a third year, Integrative Biology major and she's from Patterson in the Central Valley. After college, she wants to travel and also go to medical school to become a reconstructive surgeon. Also fun fact, when she was shadowing a ER surgeon she got help suture a man’s terribly broken arm! Besides doing amazing medical procedures, Mariele also likes going to EDM shows and watching Netfli...x. However, when she is here at the Call Center; she is doing an amazing job training our new callers. Her advice to future callers is, Give every call your best shot. Don't be intimidated by any alumni because you will never see them in person! If they're really rude in the beginning, don't let it deter you from the rest of the call. Any kind of conversation is good because then you don't have to stay listening to the boring dial tone forever. This could not have been better said. Thank you Mariele for being such an amazing and reliable trainer! See more

Our newest Caller Spotlight is Camerin Thompson. He is an incoming 2nd year with a 4th year status. He is a Media Studies major from Lancaster CA. After college, Camerin wants to move to New York to work in Public Relations and probably do a masters program at NYU, like a BOSS. In his free time, he does a lot of theater, listens to music and looking for new scholarships. When Camerin isn’t busy with school, he’s probably at the Call Center being an outstanding caller. His advice to future callers is Don't take refusals to heart. You'll never meet this person so don't let their bad day alter your good day. Just because they say no once doesn't necessarily mean no all together. FINESSE! With that said, Camerin we all want to thank you for being an amazing caller and coworker. Also, congratulations on becoming Tier 3!!!

This weeks Caller Spotlight is Jessica Rico, she is an upcoming senior from McFarland, CA. She is an Anthropology major. After college, she wants to move to the east coast and work at a book publishing company. She also said that she wants to work as a free lance writer for newspapers or a magazine. In her free time, she really enjoys taking nap. Just like all the rest of us sleep is one of those precious moments that we try to savor as much as possible. However, she also lik...es staying active by playing volleyball with her friends at the RSF. When asked about what kind of advice would she share with other callers, she said, Put yourself out there. Being an intense introvert myself, it was hard to feel comfortable on the phones when I first started out. This job can be scary at first for some people, but when you start to creep out of your shell and expose yourself to different situations and rejections, you become a different and more confident person. And when you have that confidence, whether you get refusals or pledges, you do become a better caller. This could not have been better said. Having this mentality has made her an excellent caller. Thank you, Jessica for all the amazing work you do here. See more
