Need to cool off? The Pleasanton Cooling Center will be open today and tomorrow (June 17 and 18) at the Pleasanton Senior Center from 12pm-6pm located at 5353 Sunol Boulevard. From the City of Livermore: Cooling Center Open Wednesday (6/16) through Sunday (6/20): The Robert Livermore Community Center will be opened as a cooling center for those at risk when temperatures rise, particularly seniors and residents without access to air conditioning.... Cooling Center Location: Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Ave.) Days and Hours: Wednesday 6/16 11 a.m. 5 p.m. Thursday 6/17 11 a.m. 5 p.m. Friday 6/18 11 a.m. 5 p.m. Saturday 6/19 12 p.m. 5 p.m. Sunday 6/20 12 p.m. 5 p.m. Social distancing and face covering requirements will be in place at the cooling center. Capacity will be limited. Bottled water will be available and masks will be provided if needed. Please DO NOT go to the cooling center if you have a fever, if you have been exposed to or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been ordered to quarantine or isolate. If you know of a vulnerable person without air conditioning, such as an older adult or infirm neighbor, please check on them via phone or email and ensure that they are staying cool and are drinking plenty of water. If you see someone on the street who may be having a severe reaction to the heat, please call 9-1-1. We will monitor National Weather Service reports in the coming days and will post to social media if the cooling center will be open additional days.
