Who doesn’t LOVE a purple tutu? We sure do! The next #AAPI dancer feature is Stella Abrera! This picture is from one of our favorite productions - Sleeping Beauty! Stella is a Filipina-American ballet dancer who performed as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre until her retirement in 2020, and is the company's first Filipina principal ballerina Did you know she is now the artistic director of the dance cultural park Kaatsbaan in Tivoli, NY? @balletfocus_com via @stellaabreradetsky on Instagram

How adorable is this year’s Bravo Bash costume? Who is joining us on Saturday 6/5 or Sunday 6/6? (You pick!) All students are invited to perform and participation is optional but highly encouraged Bravo Bash will be held Saturday, June 5th at our Hercules studio or Sunday, June 6th at our Berkeley studio (you can set your preference) Each performance time would have at most 4 dancers, and each dancer may invite up to 3 guests (within same pod/household please.) We will... follow the same safety protocol of checking in, wearing masks and ask you to stay 6 feet apart from others outside of your household. During performance time, your child has the option to take their mask off. Email us to reserve your costume + gift

First #AAPI dancer feature is Georgina Pazcoguin the award-winning New York City Ballet soloist who is also known as the Rogue Ballerina Her book Swan Dive: The Making of a Rogue Ballerina gives readers a backstage tour of the real ballet world. From pioneering for equality to performing on Broadway, Georgina is definitely an important figure to recognize this Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
