It was so great to be back in person with friends from Turlock Sunrise Rotary. President Jason Scott along with DG, Sherry Cotta, awarded Alice Pollard and Yvonne Olsson-Souza service awards.

What an enjoyable evening we had for our Turlock Sunrise Anniversary Party. It was so nice to get together after more than a year. Awards were given out to deserving members.

Thanks to Kirk Larson, Jason Scott and Robin Swartz for putting together and painting our little school libraries. Still more work to be done but they look great.

Turlock Sunrise Rotary is again delivering dictionaries to local school third graders. Here we have the Wakefield School administration accepting the dictionaries since we were not able to deliver the dictionaries in person as we usually do.

Rotarians @ Work. This week our members supplied dinners on 3 different nights to the WE CARE SHELTER. Approximately 20 members brought lasagna, green beans, Portuguese beans, potato casseroles, bread, cake, milk, Subway sandwiches, brownies, water, and more. Unfortunately, our members were not allowed to serve food to the men at the shelter. because of Covid 19 rules in place.

Thank you to our Turlock Rotary speaker, Kelly Kaiser, Path Ministries International, who currently serves as the Child Sponsorship Director in Northern Uganda. She is involved in helping around 300 students who live in a high risk area where they provide schooling and medical services. Things are especially difficult now during Covid times when food and other necessities are difficult to come by.

Turlock Sunrise Rotary had great fun making homemade pizzas with help from Willies Pizzas. This was part of a fundraiser. As we found out making a perfectly round pizza crust is harder than it looks. Here are some of our results. No matter what they looked like they were delicious. Totally, fun evening!!

Thank you to Sunrise Rotary for donating two trees to Cunningham Elementary School! President Jason Scott and Treasurer Alice Pollard did the honors of planting two beautiful Valley Oak trees from the MJC Nursery. #TUSD
