Throwing a fat little bottle.
A couple cotton candy jars! I've been a fan of using the black non-crystal glaze to anchor light pieces like these.
This thing was fired 3 times until I got the drips to finally run down. Worth it...
I feel like this is good luck... it means the #morrobay show this weekend will be awesome! Or full of bugs. Either one.
Packing up for a show in Morro Bay! Army is assembled.
Another winged amphora. Quickly becoming my favorite things to make!
After the glaze fire, I smooth the bottom of each piece with a diamond pad. Next, I use epoxy to attach the stands to the vessel.
In my effort to find a consistent non-reduction red... I found a pink instead.
Collection of some older pieces. My goal is always to have a variety of forms and colors for every show. From left to right: jewelry jar, amphora jar, teapot (duh)
Trimming a jar. To get the surface as smooth as possible and to make the walls even thinner, I trim it right-side-up and upside-down. I use stoneware to hold the porcelain in place because it sticks more effectively.
This crystal matte turned out so well! Too bad the lid got tired and leaned over in the fire...
Went in a different direction with this amphora jar and gave it wings!
