Today was all about the Peace, Love and Groovy Blessings which Value City surprised us with today! Presten one of our amazing staff asked about the possibility of them donating costumes for our kiddos and....This is the result! A van full of imagination, fun and blessings which have already been put into the hands of our kids and their parents so they can prep for Saturday! It is with a heavy heart we share with you that this morning Haskel Herndon was promoted to glory. Haskel was a faithful Soldier of The San Bernardino Corps, a walking testimony of Gods grace and redemption, and a good friend to all. His personal witness was always about God’s goodness and faithfulness. He had gone into the hospital several days ago, and even though the Doctors did all they could he was not able to overcome the medical issues he was facing. Please keep his fa...mily and all who were close to him in your prayers during this time. Haskel, a faithful Soldier and Salvationist has now gone to his true home and is at this moment face to face with his Lord and Savior. In our sorrow let us also rejoice for another faithful soldier is hearing those words, well done good and faithful servant. We will communicate any information regarding services as details become known.

San Bernardino County’s InnROADS team, along with the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Departments HOPE team, stopped by to bring some items for our residents trunk-or-treat. They dropped off costumes earlier this month and today pumpkins, snacks and candy! Our residents will have a blast this weekend due to these amazing individuals coming through for and remembering them!

Help us make this a memorable festive event for our Residents! In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be having a trunk-or-treat event that is open to the community to prevent risk of exposure for Residents within our facility. Safe Halloween guidelines have been released by public health officials and we have are striving to give our residents and their children a safe, "normal" trunk-or-treat experience this year...here is where you come in! We are seeking out donations of carving pumpkins, small gords or pumpkins, face paint, candy and new/sanitized gently used costumes for all ages. If this is something that you can help with feel free to reach out to the contact provided on this flyer.

The County has developed guidance for residents who plan to celebrate Halloween, which outlines how activities like trick-or-treating or trunk-or-treating can b...e enjoyed safely. It also provides safer alternatives to those activities. The County has also developed guidance for operators of pumpkin patches. https://wp.sbcounty.gov/cao/countywire/?p=8920 #SBCountyTogether See more
