We know chewing sugar-free gum reduces cavity risks but it may also inhibit stress signals as well. Now only if Hubba Bubba or Juicy Fruit is truly sugar-free, I'd be chewing more gum. An emergency patient from the weekend. This is what happens when tooth meets lamb chop bone just the wrong way. I'm glad I was able to give that tooth another chance at more chops.

Thank you to all of our Halloween Candy Buyback donors! We collected a whopping 175lbs of candy this year and several wonderful notes to the troops from Harker Academy's 3rd graders.

According to the National Retail Federation, Americans will spend $2.2 billion on Halloween candy in 2014. That's a whole lot of sweetness. Speaking of which, don't forget to bring in your excess candy to our office for the Halloween Candy Buyback this week & get a chance to win a new Sonicare toothbrush.

Thank you everyone for participating in our HCB this year. We had a great turnout & some cute little monsters. We'd like to congratulate our 2 raffle winners: Madeline Lin & Candace Allen. There's one last chance for our Facebook friends to win one take home teeth bleaching kit (Tres White Supreme). Can you guess how many pounds of candy we received from our HCB (see photo)? Hint: there were 4 full boxes of about 2.5ft x 2ft x 1.5ft. The winner is the one who gets closest to but not over the actual weight. Get your answers in by 11/19/13 @ 5pm PST.
