True Ames Fins 11.07.2021

2020 has been one wild ride to say the least. In amongst it’s challenges, this year has also been a great one in so many ways for us. For that we are incredibly thankful and owe it all to our customers. From the folks who have been with us 40+ years, to the new clients we gained this past year, as well as each and every person in between... you all keep us moving. We’re beyond stoked with the way in which we’ve been able to grow while staying true to our roots and producing t...op notch fins. We also wanted to say thank you to everyone for your patience, kind words, and for sticking with us as we’re doing all we can to get more fins back on the shelves! We had some setbacks just like everyone else... but all in all we’re grateful to just still be chugging and it’s nothing we won’t overcome! We can assure you we’re working overtime to increase capacity and continually evolve our production processes. Lastly... thank you to our partners, our collaborators, all the businesses we work alongside, and especially the fine hard working folk here at TA making it happen!

Greg Liddle is a master of design, and a true pioneer who dove head long into building and creating the type of boards that he wanted to ride in California point type surf. Via his pursuit, Greg’s ‘transitional volume displacement hulls’ were refined overtime alongside his fin templates and foils the we’re proud to produce. The Liddle flex fin series has been part of True Ames for 40+ years at this point... with that sort of longevity as one of our staple offerings, it’d be hard to argue that they don’t preform! @ken_taro__ making use of a 9.0 Liddle (L-Flex) in his @ryanburchsurfboards

Some Boomerang thrusters hitching a ride on this 7’2 @mitsvensurfboards over at @atacama_surf The Boomerangs, designed by San Diego native Jeff Grennan, will provide high trim speed and effortless glide all while retaining control via the minimal area that is anchored by some exaggerated rake. Highly praised by the likes of Skip Frye and Bob Mitsven, these fins have also become a fast favorite of those who has given them a try. @grennan_fins

@sharpeyesurfboards making use of some of our long time staples... the glass-on thruster in Hexcore. The performance, the foils, the feather weight, the aesthetics, and that feel that only glass-ons can provide allow these fins to still stack up today here in 2020. We’re always stoked to see these fins tacked on to new board builds
