True Feel Horsemanship

Such a fun morning watching Kaitlyn Kaseno and Tommy riding in their rope halter and leadrope (leadrope is only attached under the halter so she only has it in 1 hand, not like reins). First time the jumping in it and it was amazing to watch how far this once worried guy has come through the hard work of Katy. Horsemanship truly is awesome.

At the beginning of the month Dani’s horse willow would rear, kick out and not go forward at any gait. Today in a crowded arena they cantered on a loose rein and slowed off her body. So much fun watching the growth of both horse and rider

My favorite part of my job is seeing a partnership developing

These amazing animals amaze me everyday. For those at the clinic last weekend they wouldn’t recognize Dani Beth’s Willow as the same horse that showed up last week. Lots of ground work and staying consistent and an amazing ride by Dani today set willow up for success!

Thursday we learned about being aware what our body is doing by calling out what our hands and legs were doing. Everyone did awesome!!

I can’t think of a better way to end 2020 than seeing the ear to ear grin on Katy’s face when she cantered Tommy in the main arena in a rope halter and lead rop...e. A few weeks ago he was spooking, rearing and extremely worried. I think she’s on the right track and I can’t wait to see what these 2 accomplish in the shows next year with their new partnership!! Biggie is my coming 2 year old that just came in a couple of weeks ago. Here is our 3rd groundwork session. He’s really working hard to figure out what I want. The right is the better side but the left side is coming!

Michelle is teaching King to jump. He tends to anticipate the jump and will speed up the last few steps. Today we did a few circles before but came almost up to the placement pole. The result was a nice relaxed effort and even landing on the left lead (he landed on the right all previous jumps). Nicely ridden michelle!!

Worked with Tommy today in the round pen getting connection with him. Slowly making progress
