Elections are an important event in Scouts. It is a time for Scouts to get up in front of their peers and talk about what they can bring as leaders to their patrols. They reflect on how they can grow as leaders embracing the unknown, ways to improve on what has come before, as well as traits they should keep as new leaders, and finally, they ask their peers to elect them. It is a very special time watching these young scouts grow into adults. It almost seems to happen meeting by meeting.
