Troop One of Sacramento, Boy Scouts of America 18.02.2021

Hey friends and family, please help Mikey Crimmins on his quest to Eagle Scout with Troop 1 by supporting his food and health supplies drive. Yesterday, we hand...ed out bags which we will pick up next Saturday. If you would like a bag, please let us know, or you can place donation items in the bins on our front porch at 37 Grand Rio Circle, 95826, starting today at noon and until next Sunday at noon. The items will be donated to benefit families in the San Juan Unified school district. Thank you for your support! Please message me if you have questions.

In March 2020, to comply with state public health orders about not meeting in person, Troop 1 Scouts and adult leaders moved the troop’s activities online, holding virtual meetings each Monday night, taking part in merit badge classes, advancing in rank, and setting up online games and a virtual camp in Minecraft as part of Virtual Camp Cody. Scouts took part in virtual weekend outings, and several completed service projects and achieved the rank of Eagle. As it has for over 100 years, Troop 1 Sacramento found a way to keep Scouting on and we resolve to keep that momentum well into 2021! One day down, 364 days to go. What will you do with your year?

We're grateful for our Troop 1 families and alumni who are posting Troop 1 outreach signs in their yards and windows! Signs come in two sizes (11x17 and 18x24) and are free for any Troop 1-er who wants one - please reach out to Terry Wilson to get one of your own.

REMINDER: Today is the first of two drop-off days for Troop 1's annual Shriners Toy Drive! Happening 9:30 - 11 AM at our usual outing drop-off site on Riverside Blvd. See attached images on ideas for what to donate. We'll also have free Troop 1 yard signs to pass out to anybody who wants to spread the word about our troop!

Luke just delivered loads of donated food items to Joey’s Food Locker in Natomas. He worked hard canvassing the neighborhood for donations from trusted neighbors. He is submitting this project for his T2FC community service hours.
