Troop 380 06.07.2021

The Fair Oaks Cemetery's Memorial Day Service is a long time tradition with Troop 380. This year as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic the service was live streamed rather than in person. Thank you to Kai, Nicky and Andrew and to Isabelle who was the Scout in charge and to Elizabeth our Scout leader who has led the troop in this service project for many years. Next year we look forward to being back to normal with a huge crowd and all the fanfare to honor our fallen heroes meaning we will need lots of Scouts to participate! #gecbsa

It’s spring and Troop 380 is busy, busy, busy! During the past few weeks, Troop 380 collected over two tons of food for those less fortunate during our second round of Scouting for Food. Steven P delivered picnic tables and planter boxes to the California Montessori Project for his Eagle Project. Jacob Q. delivered his mental health bags to his youth group for his Eagle Project, Taylor L. completed welding booths at Rio Americano High School for his Eagle. Keilani Q. compl...eted her stage backdrops for her Theater group for her Eagle Project. Tim B. passed his Eagle Board of Review. The New Scouts completed a service project and hike on the American River Parkway. Several of our patrols participated in Advancement Day at Dave’s house. Michelle Ronshausen was presented the District Award of Merit at the District Court of Honor and Phil Allen, Rommel Aguil, Faye Quayle and Dustin Trute were all recognized at that same Three Rivers District Court of Honor. Not bad for a few weeks in the life of Troop 380! See more

Amyann worked on her Eagle Scout Project today at the Ishikawa Ranch. Many thanks to everyone who helped Amyann complete 15 table easels for the art lab at Dillard Elementary School. Amyann made sure we were safe during the pandemic. All participants had to pass a screening, wore masks, maintained social distancing, and just all safety protocols established by the troop. Congratulations to Amyann on an outstanding project. We hope to see you in the Troop 380 family nest of eagles soon.

Last Sunday the Panther Patrol had a fun, but challenging afternoon at Tree Top Sac in West Sacramento. They started on the beginning blue courses, moved up to the advanced red courses, and finished with the most challenging black course. Fun was had by all!
