If anyone knows of a college or law student interested in clerking with me in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for the Spring 2019 semester, pl...ease have them email a letter of interest and updated resume to me at [email protected]. Serious candidates will then be provided an application packet. DEADLINE TO TURN IN APPLICATION PACKET IS NOVEMBER 15, 2018. See below for details: Qualifications: Volunteer law clerks must be enrolled in college, law school or awaiting bar results at the time of clerkship and pass a criminal background check. Duties: Depending on your previous experience and education, law clerk duties include, but are not limited to: writing and responding to motions, legal research, assisting in court, communicating with witnesses, law enforcement and defense attorneys, processing discovery requests, creating exhibits for trial, courtroom trial and preliminary hearing assistance and observation. Work Hours: Law clerks are required to work at least 2 days per week. Work hours are from 8:30am 4:30pm. Law Clerk Certification: Many law students would like to become certified law clerks under the State Bar of California’s PTLS (Practical Training of Law Students) program since this would allow the student to argue motions and/or oppositions they themselves have written, and/or conduct preliminary hearings under the supervision of an attorney. If you qualify, I will discuss with you how to become a certified law clerk. See more

Greetings! Congratulations and Welcome Back for the 2015-2016 school year! As you get settled into your fall classes, let me commend each of you for your commitment and dedication to the pursuit of excellence in your legal education. This year, building upon our success, the Lawless Senate is planning several professional networking and leadership opportunities. Additionally, we will once again participate in several philanthropic and charitable endeavors, including a Dres...s for Success Drive, Adopt a family program,Thanksgiving baskets for needy families, and a costume and candy drive for homeless youth in Orange County. The new Executive Board has been hard at work, ensuring that we are a valuable resource for you, and can support you in every way at this stage of your law school journey. I am also very pleased to welcome Professor Alexandra Snyder, as our new Faculty Adviser and Mentor! In addition to serving as the Director of Academic Support and a Professor at Trinity Law School, she is a wonderful person with a wealth of knowledge and experience, completely committed to our success as students and future lawyers. Please stop by her office and welcome her to Delta Theta Phi! I wish you a safe and successful semester. The Lawless Senate thanks everyone that participated in our very successful Project Angel Tree partnership. Thank you for all of your wonderful support and for bringing smiles to children this Christmas. Together, we blessed 25 children with nearly forty gifts!! Thank you so much!

DTP has partnered with the Salvation Army to provide toys to needy families for Christmas. Please support our angel tree program by picking up an angel in the lobby of Trinity Law School, and returning the gift to the lobby by December 14th. Thank you so much for your support!
