We’re starting a new series, working through The Cross And The Lynching Tree, by James H. Cone! We’ll be introducing the series tomorrow night and then we’ll really get into it the following Sunday. If you get the book it will certainly add to your experience, but the series is designed for both those following along, as well as folks just dropping in. Drawing from his own life experience, the historical Black experience in America, and his work as a theologian, Cone builds a bridge between the symbols of the cross and the lynching tree, arguing that we can’t understand one without understanding the other. We’ll be exploring this topic until the 4th of July - if you or someone you know would get something out of it, join us on Zoom at 6pm PST on Sundays.

At Tribe, Good Friday has always been a pretty big focal point for us. Last year, in place of our wonderful art shows of the past, our community used Pádraig Ó Tuama's poems on the Stations of the Cross for an online Good Friday practice, reflecting on the poems throughout the day.
