GODDESS MODE, what does that even mean? When you hear the word Goddess, what does it make you think of? Do you associate 'Goddess' with some deity or supernatural being? For me, Goddess Mode means connecting with the most loving, forgiving, strengthened, beauty and light within myself. Honoring my own boundaries and becoming the woman that I want to be.... It means embracing my faults and seeing the beauty in my scars and being gentle with myself thus allowing me to extend that love to others purely and without a sense of obligation or expectation. Allowing myself to embody who I am at my core through consistent self study, yoga practice and meditation has helped me gain the courage to leave behind thoughts of unworthiness, lack, and fear to embrace what is truly meant for me. Every woman has a Goddess that lives inside of her. The secret is trusting in your internal map to uncover the beauty of who YOU are. Don't hide your flaws or your scars, you don't need to be perfect. Be authentic, Be YOU. God has made you unique + God has a plan and purpose for your life. I tend to lean on the side of perfection at times, maybe its in my nature to want things to be perfect and without fault but over the years one thing i've learned is that imperfections are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and perfect is BORING. Its in the mean time and the in between time of your journey in this... life that really develop YOU. B A L A N C E. What does balance look like for you? The truth is that living in a state of equilibrium and balance has a lot to do with your PRIORITIES. I used to be so hard on myself about always being my ‘BEST SELF’ At the time that manifested as trying to be EVERYTHING for everyone. As a certified yoga instructor this was so challenging for me; to find balance off the mat, because we are taught to hold space for others. What I kno...w now is that you have to hold space for YOU too in order to attain BALANCE. I became so unbalanced within myself, So much so that I neglected to put myself and my needs first which eventually led to Burnout. And let me be the first to tell yah, burnout is REAL and it takes some skill to attain harmony again! Now, I totally believe it is super important to grant yourself grace, in order to be the best you for yourself and the people that you care about in this life, you really need to PRIORITIZE your own self care. If that means waking up 45minutes earlier to simply practice yoga, or go to sleep early, meditate or journal then, SO BE IT! These days I’m pretty unapologetic in my EVOLUTION and I Love it here!
