Homemade pizzas are great fun for the whole family. Add tomato, basil and mozzarella for the kids, and try mushroom, poached garlic, truffle oil and sage for dad. Here is Chef Ola’s pizza dough recipe to keep you busy this weekend.... Chef Ola’s Pizza Dough Makes 2 12 inch Pizzas... Ingredients: 4 cups bread flour or pizza flour 00 (keep half a cup separate) 2 tsp instant dry yeast (1 envelope or) 2 tsp kosher salt 1 cups warm water (around 105-110 degrees) 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil Method: 1. Mix yeast into the water and let it dissolve. 2. Combine 3 cups flour and salt in a kitchen air (or similar) using the hook attachment. Slowly add the water and oil, continue to mix until it forms a ball. If it’s too sticky add the remaining flour little by little until it comes together. 3. Place on a floured surface and work it with your hands into a smooth firm ball. 4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it double in size, about 60-90 minutes. 5. When ready, put the dough on a lightly floured surface and divide into 2 equal size balls. Roll these out so they are both smooth. 6. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 20-30 minutes, and heat your oven to 500 degrees if you are cooking your pizzas right away. 7. The final step is to roll out with a rolling pin or by hand to your desired size and shape. Top with your favorite pizza sauce, cheese and toppings and enjoy!
