The technique of Transcendental Meditation comes from an ancient tradition that is thousands of years old. However the knowledge of this meditation technique became distorted over time and was lost from public view and common practice. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi revived the technique, in its purity, in the late 1950s. He named it Transcendental Meditation and personally taught it all over India.
