Today, I give back to the community by volunteering and helping the elderly. ElderHelp of San Diego is a great and flexible way to help senior citizens maintain independence while living in their own homes. From taking them to an appointment, helping with grocery shopping or simply coming over for a social visit, every little bit makes a difference to someone. I encourage you to look into volunteering your time. Visit http://www.elderhelpofsandiego.org/ to learn more on how you too can make a difference in a senior's life. God Bless :)- Troy Pearson

Everyone has slipped (or tripped) and fallen down at some point in their life. Most of the time, these falls happen for not being careful, not paying attention, or simply being clumsy. But occasionally these types of falls happen because of a hazard -- of one kind or another -- on someone else’s property. Just because a person falls on someone else’s property does not necessarily make the property owner legally responsible for any resulting injuries. But in some instances, owners of both private and commercial property can be held liable. If you were injured from a fall on someone else’s property, Call a lawyer to help you decide whether you have a valid personal injury claim for slip and fall.

Can I sue my landlord for roaches in our apartment? Infestations of cockroaches pose a serious danger to human health and safety. Accordingly, California law requires landlords to maintain rental units free from such infestations. Rental units infested with bed bugs, cockroaches, mice, rats or other insects are uninhabitable under California law. A cockroach infestation in a rental unit can be extremely difficult to eradicate. In multi-unit properties, cockroaches can easil...y migrate between units. Once an infestation has become established in one unit, cockroaches can spread to adjoining units within a number of days, making it difficult to combat the infestation without a cohesive pest control plan implemented throughout the building. YOU MUST act immediately notify the authorities and your LL in writing. Give them the opportunity to fix the problem and state to them that previous efforts were unsuccesful... After that you need A LAWYER to protect your rights. See more

What should you do if you're in a car accident? When it happens, injuries may be severe and emotions high. However, there are important things to do at the scene of the accident and soon afterward. Below is a list of things to do after an accident, if possible. Keep this information handy by printing this helpful pamphlet on first steps after an auto accident and storing it in your car. 1. Stay at the scene: Never leave the accident scene until it's appropriate to do so. 2. ...Check on All Drivers and Passengers: Get medical attention for anyone who needs it. If a person is unconscious or has neck or back pain, don't move them until qualified medical help arrives, unless a hazard requires moving the person. 3. Call the Police 4 Exchange Information 5. Talk to Witnesses 6. Inform Your Insurance Company 7. Keep Track of Your Medical Treatment: Medical expenses are relatively easy to document, but pain and suffering is trickier to prove. Keep a record of how your injuries have impacted your daily life. Include any missed workdays, list any routine activities you can't undertake, and describe how the injuries have affected your family life. 8. Consider Hiring an Attorney: If anyone was injured in the accident, it's best to consult an experienced attorney. An attorney can help you maximize your recovery if you're injured or better defend yourself if you're at fault. Many accident attorneys work on a contingency fee basis. That means that your lawyer only receives a fee if you're awarded damages or receive a settlement. Contact an attorney now for a free claim review. See more
