Hi everyone! We want to assure you that Toy Go Round is still open! Governor Newsom's new shelter-in-place order restricts non-essential retail businesses like Toy Go Round to 20% capacity. We've been operating under 20% capacity since we opened for inside shopping, since we felt it was more appropriate and safe for us and our customers. Nothing will change about our hours or the way we're currently operating. We're open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and from 10a...m to 6pm on Saturdays. We're allowing up to four people to browse inside the store at once. Masks are required on everyone two and older for inside browsing! We're hoping to resume consignment appointments by mid-January. Today we're focusing on educational games for the 4 year olds; these games focus on pattern recognition and sequencing, the building blocks of the skill set required for STEM fields!

Today we're showcasing our selection of educational games for the 3+ year olds! Their brains grow so fast in this time period, so we love games that take advantage of their natural curiosity and desire to learn.

As children start heading back to school, we wanted to introduce some of our best learning games to enhance their education at home! First up is our selection for the ~2 year old age range. We're often asked about our used Lego sets and how we check them, so today we thought we'd give you a little insight on the process we go through to make sure the set is complete and playable! 1. First, we set up the Lego bricks in a contained space with the instructions. The instructions include a list of bricks in their necessary quantities to build the set. 2. Then, we go down the list of bricks and pull out each brick of one type- when we line them all up, it's easy to ...see if we have all the bricks needed! 3. If we're missing any bricks, we put a sticker on the instructions next to the picture of the specific brick with the quantity missing. From there we can order missing pieces and complete the sets! We've just received an order of bricks, so this week we're putting out a fresh batch of consigned Lego sets!

We love Green Toys trucks! If you don't know about these trucks, here's the great details: This is a local company (originally from Emeryville), they make their toys out of 100% post-consumer material (namely recycled milk jugs) and their toys are machine washable! Just throw them in your dishwasher if your child is a big fan of mud!

Building blocks are an incredible toy to build your child's spacial awareness, dexterity and problem solving skills! We love these Wedgits in particular for their unique take on spacial awareness! We have plenty of blocks for all ages and developmental stages!
