Today and every day we celebrate all of the men and women who have served our country. We are especially grateful for the members of our community, Mr. Warner, Mr. Cerda, Mr. Harcum and Mr. Acosta, and their commitment to public service. Mr. Warner: Length of time served? 2 years plus several years in the reserves (Off. Naval Research & instructor in Navy Finance) Branch served in? US Navy ... What is something you want to share about your time in the military? Served USNR Korean War under UN; naval service with French Foreign Legion Mr. Cerda: Length of time served? 10 years Branch served in? USMC (Marines) What is something you want to share about your time in the military? I was at the White House and Camp David during the Reagan administration Mr. Harcum: Length of time served? 4 years Branch served in? Air Force What is something you want to share about your time in the military? I was a Crew Chief on the C-17 Globemaster. Basically, a mechanic on the C-17 where I performed all types of maintenance and servicing of the aircraft. I also was able to fly with the plane around the world to many places to perform maintenance and inspections down range in areas that were not already supported by a maintenance crew. The C-17 is one of the largest cargo jets in the US military. Mr. Acosta: Length of time served? 29 years Branch served in? US Marine Corps (6 years) and US Air Force (23 years) What is something you want to share about your time in the military? Served in Gulf War in Balad, 2008 and Baghdad, 2010. My time in the military made made me who I am today. It taught me the true values and benefits of discipline, routine, courage and the ability to push myself past my limitations.

The studio arts program at Town has long been a cornerstone of the Town experience. The artwork calendar created each year by the Parents’ Association is an important way to foster community, both within school and in the larger community.
