This is becoming scarier for our children.

With San Bernardino County School Closures and parents needing to safley return to work. I want to insure my parents that Towell Daycare is trying to keep one step ahead. the only way we can stay safe is to follow state and county instructions not for ourselves but for the safety and future of our children. Towell Family daycare is part of the child care providers union. We are weekly briefed with all the information needed to stay informed and are given the tools to not on...ly do our jobs but provide a safe sterile environment as possible. We do not take in anyone with any signs of colds flu’s. absolutely no runny nose, continuous coughing, sneezing, fevers, we ask all parents if child is sick please keep them home. They will not be able to stay and will be given one hour to be picked up before contacting the emergency contacts and our last resort is contacting dept of social services. We want our families to feel safe and comfortable dropping off your children in our care. we are an in home daycare so at the end of the day I am a parent too trying to keep my family safe without exposure to this virus. lets all do our part so we have tomorrow to look forward to. Cleaning Daycare daily is a must to prevent exposure to any virus! cleaning classrooms: Consider removing materials from the classroom that are difficult to clean (e.g., soft toys).... Follow regular cleaning protocols and use a disinfectant recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as being effective against coronavirus. A list of such disinfectants can be found on the EPA website at https://www.epa.gov/coronavirus. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including but not limited to: Door handles, crash bars, and doorknobs Entry windows Office counters and surfaces Handrails Sinks and drinking fountains Dispensers Desks and tables Restrooms Anything else that is handled frequently by multiple children and staff. Clean and sanitize all toys at the end of the day. Clean any machine-washable items safely at the warmest setting possible. Keep a designated bin for separating toys that have been in children’s mouths. When a child is done with a mouthed toy, place it in a bin that is inaccessible to other children and wash hands. Clean and sanitize toys prior to returning them to the children’s play area. Increase the ELC program’s cleaning and disinfection routine to multiple times per day, including measures to ensure children do not come in contact with cleaning supplies. See more
