The health and safety of our residents and visitors is our highest priority, and the City of Torrance is striving to provide service while following local, state, and federal guidelines for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, the 9th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival scheduled for Sunday, April 5, 2020 has been canceled. Please direct any questions you may have to [email protected].
Although this year's Festival has been cancelled, enjoy these photos of the beautiful blossoming trees at Columbia Park. We look forward to welcoming you to the Festival next year!
Just 54 days until this year's festival, and we are thrilled to share some of the latest updates! First, there are ten additional cherry trees this year, two of which were so excited they started blossoming already! Also, we have just received confirmation that we will be able to offer additional offsite parking with shuttle service, thanks to the generosity from LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn's office! ... Full details on expanded parking options, plus ever more new news is coming soon.
Applications to be a craft vendor are still being accepted until March 6th, and can be found on the City of Torrance website.
Vendor applications are now available online!

A number of trees are in bloom! We hope to see everyone this Sunday, March 31 from 11 a.m. - 4p.m. Columbia Park, Torrance, California for the 2019 Torrance Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival. It's a lovely day of community performances, hand made crafts for sale, and tasty food! Please note, Columbia Park has approximately 500 spaces available to the public for this event, with lots accessible off of 190th Street, and 186 Street. There is a very small lot off of Prairie Ave. t...hat will mostly be taken up by our six food trucks. We have access to a small overflow lot that will accommodate roughly 100 cars once our lots are full. Details for that lot will be shared once Columbia Park lots reach capacity. We encourage patrons to arrive early or to consider using a ride sharing service as we anticipate strong attendance.
We are excited to welcome everyone to the 2019 Torrance Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival on March 31 at Columbia Park. Although we cannot guarantee the trees will be blossoming at the festival, it is always extra special when it happens. This year all of the trees are full of buds that are ready to burst. Today we snapped a picture of one tree that just could not wait for the festival. It is a promising sign that this year is on track to be our best ever!
Excited that Okamoto Kitchen, Serendoggity, Brewwings, and Island Treats (mmmm malasadas doughnuts!) are returning to this year's Torrance Cherry Blossom Cultural Festival! Plus, new this year will be Del's Fish Tacos, Snax Stand, and Rice balls of fire! More to come as we get closer to the festival!
