Practising spiral wedging - great video by @hsinchuenlin (link in bio) Clay is wedged/ kneaded before you throw to make the clay more pliable and to remove any air pockets and small hard spots in the clay. When the clay is fresh out of the bag, I usually wedge it for 20-25 minutes but when it's recycled, I find myself wedging it for much longer!

These porcelain cups are enjoying the sun, waiting to be bisqued fired Bisque/ biscuit firing is the first firing after you have thrown, trimmed and air dried your ceramics, before you apply any glazing. This is to remove residual moisture, crystalline-bound water as well as organic components. We are bisque firing these at Cone 04, 1945'F/ 1063'C on slow speed in a Skutt kiln, which will take around 10 hours to reach the peak temperature and another 8 hours to cool down before you can take them out of the kiln.
