Will you please stand with us at the Oxnard City Council meeting tonight (Tuesday, May 29) at 6:00 pm? The Oxnard City Council has scheduled a special meeting to consider whether to waste more of your tax dollars at least $500,000 so far to appeal their recent loss in court. The City of Oxnard sued to overturn your vote on Measure M which rescinded the City Council’s 87% sewer rate increase. However, the Court disagreed with the City Council and recognized Measure M as ...valid. Judge Rocky Baio rebuked the City Council when he wrote about the Court’s solemn duty to jealously guard the people’s initiative power and to resolve any reasonable doubts in the people’s favor. Please join us in letting the Oxnard City Council know that it’s time for them to uphold the people’s vote, and not further thwart us through the courts, as they have done for over two years. Please join us tonight (Tuesday, May 29) at 6:00 pm at the Oxnard City Council Chambers, located at City Hall at 305 West Third Street, Oxnard, California 93030.

Please vote in the Oxnard Recall Election. Your ballots are due by May 1. As you probably know, the mayor and 3 other City Council Members are bring recalled for failing to carry out the will of the voters regarding water rate increases. We have a slate of candidates who are local leaders and business people who are dedicated to fixing this problem in accordance with the will of our fellow citizens. Please give them your support as shown in this sample ballot.
