It's just all coming together and looks really cool, the Lawton's are building a Corvette called, "Blue By You". All very exciting as we get close to being done, so we can go racing and have lots of fun. Nothing like working together as father and son, with days that are long from sun up to sun down. How's that transmission coolers for cool? We have a plan that will make it easy to cool the oil between rounds. That is not the finished look yet. Real black hose separators and a mounting bracket for the hoses will be mounted to the frame.

Tethers on the headers are been finished tonight and the finishing of the welding on the headers to.

Fabricated some new panels at Bobby's shop in Wittier and Pops fixed the Mickey Mouse fiberglass work on the inside of the rear fenders.

Making good progress on "BLUE BY YOU". Throttle bracket all done,oil filter mounted,installing some new panels,new throttle stop and Pops is the man when it comes to fiberglass. Speaking of throttles. I notice people will spend tons of money on their race car and then put on a Mickey Mouse throttle set up. Morse cable is the only way to fly. It not only looks great, but works as smooth as glass.

Starting to look like it's going to get serious. Fabricating brackets,mounting the fuel pump and fuel lines,throttle cable almost done and Lawt made a custom bracket for the shifter,igniton box and fuel shut off. SiiiiiiiiiiiiK.

Hopefully the guy who tried to tune this truck in San Diego will see this video at Top Flight. Only made 420 to the wheels. What? 427 LS stroker? Hell no. Lawt's talent is amazing. Try 540/480 without changing any parts. Need your LS tuned. Get it done right,at Top Fllight.

Front engine plate almost done. Took a little messaging, but it now fits perfect. Thanks to Ralls Performance for getting it done.

Back home and back to work. Today Lawt is working on my new race car. He fabricated the catch pans for the engine and the trans,installed a new quick release window net and is working on mounting the shifter. He also went to BC Performance to make some new panels for the inside along with the help of our kind and best friend Bobby Cottrell. Much to do to make a race in December.

This is how I spend my Sundays after Church. Getting the "Blue By You" put together with Lawt to make all the brackets,throttle cable,custom headers and the rest of what needs to happen to be ready to fly. Then we will take it all apart,detail every aspect of the assembly and install the new motor Combination.
