Yesterday's Alameda Tongue Twisters toastmasters meeting was amazing. We had two great speeches, and evaluations. We also had very fun and thoughtful table topics from Rashida. She did a great job leading table topics for the first time. Here is a clip of Lelton talking about our club :)

Tuesday evening's word of the day was atrocious which hard to use given how well the meeting went. However, nearly everyone found a way to use atrocious, sometimes accompanied with a giggle. Peter gave Ron a stiff challenge for best speaker. Both Ian and Alanna gave supportive evaluations, and we look forward to hearing the speakers again after incorporating their comments. Many TM's gave atrocious table topics (not!) with Enrico and Hanna earning the ribbons for best impromptu speech.

Super cool Open House this evening. Ian "broke the ice" with a speech about his bike trip across the US and ended with a twist that it ended with meeting his wife. Charles Amemiya, our guest, presented an energetic speech accented with great body language. Peter, a first time Table Topics master, involved everyone with thought provoking questions. I think he liked choosing the speaker . Congratulations to Lelton, our distinguished Toastmaster and Co-founder Tyree Johnson for enlightening us about the club and winning Table Topics. #Toastmasters, #leadership

Congratulations Enrico on conducting the Toastmaster meeting for the first time. Well done! The club had a tough decision giving the best speaker, evaluator and table topics ribbons because all the speakers demonstrated admirable speaking qualities. The winners were Ian, Ron and Lelton--congratulations.

Tonight's Toastmaster is Enrico and his meeting theme is "acceptance". I accept that I'll be at the meeting tonight & be happier for it.
