We're told that it's we shouldn't make comparisons to Nazism, the ultimate in lethal political cults, but there are unmistakable similarities. Both Trumpism and Nazism are savior cults in which the Leader is seen as nearly infallible, and in which challenging him is seen as unpatriotic, even treasonous.... We can't debate with people who are ensnared in these trances -- we can only work to defeat them. These kind of personality cults always have a shelf life. Eventually this dark time in American history will pass and most trump cultists will begin to awaken from their delusions. This is inevitable, because, in the long run, factual reality is more powerful than any political fantasy. We just don't know how long it's going to take. See more
