I had a great time today with Rusty Stivers and his son Coen. We fished Shaver and had a blast. We got fish from 12.5 to 19 The big fish came on MAG Tackle new gold dodgers with a blue bug, bandit dodger (new) with a orange hoochie, and watermelon dodger and hoochie. The best part of the trip was seeing this young man enjoy fishing and becoming more comfortable handling the catch. We stayed in the main channel near the point and towards the dam. The large male is turning already. I can’t wait to see what kind of angler he will become in the future. He was an extremely well mannered young man also, such a pleasure to be around.

This was from last weekend. We got limits both days. Chad Miranda and Amanda on Saturday and Tong Vang and his family on Sunday. Mag Tackle in orange was the most popular setups.

I had a great weekend of fishing at Shaver. Saturday I had Robert and Scott Shahan along with John Shehadey. Today I had the Belanger and Sorensen families on board. We caught fish all over the lake. The best spots were the island and Black rock. The fish are turning fast. The scales are going away and the hooked jaws are coming. The best depths were 27’to 39’ at a speed of 1.6. We used Mag Tackle hoochies in white, pink and orange with orange tiger disco and Stealth Dodgers.

The Barnett family and the Gordon White family will be enjoying their catch from this weekend. Damon,Jamie, Aiden and Brennan Barnett got their limits by 9:30 on Saturday. Gordon White and his wife Theresa were able to get limits in trout and Kokanee today. We used Mag Tackle orange tiger disco dodger and pink and chartreuse hoochie as well as pink Stealth and orange brass glitter blade hoochie. Fish were 27’-43’ near the island at 1.4-1.7 mph

The bite was steady today at Shaver. Ted Salyer,Bill Thompson, Lloyd Lew and Wayne Fox put their limits in the boat. We only lost a few and released some of next years fish which is very encouraging. Mag Tackle Orange tiger disco with orange hoochie was our best lure today. Water temp is holding at 68 degrees. Best area was along the point to Sierra Marina.
