Todd Sarner, MFT- Couples Counseling for Marin Parents

I studied with Stan Tatkin of The PACT Institute for several years and was just blown away by Stan's brilliant understanding of intimate love relationships, how they go wrong, and how to fix them. I finally was able to listen to his new audio book this week and it's one of the best things he's ever done. I highly recommend this to anyone who is stuck in a seemingly never-ending cycle of arguments and fighting and frustration. Stan's work can change your life for the better if you're willing to dig deep and do the work.

This video covers a lot of the most important concepts about attachment-based couples therapy and what makes it work so well. I don't think it's all-that-well produced but if you can get past that, it holds some valuable information.

Such an important and powerful message. I find myself concentrating on these themes a lot in couples work.

In years of working with couples, I have found this to be one of the most simple and profound instructions you can take to heart. If your partner is in distress, it is not the time to make them feel wrong or tell them about your distress. First, seek to understand what they are saying and how they are feeling and help them know it matters to you. It can change everything.
