TNR kitties + friendly strays need homes 22.02.2021

#16 (I think. There have been so many!) This little girl was running around Maywood with her brother. We trapped her and got her neutered yesterday so she doesn't add to the large number of kitties running around this neighborhood. I'm sitting here in the dark waiting for the brother to come back after he got scared away. 2 OTHER cats were trying to get the chicken in the trap, and had to be shooed away. It's his turn.

I caught a little black kitten, but not without a fight. A bite thru the thumb nail and 5 other bites to hands, but dang it girl, I wasn't letting her go! She's a tough girl! Thinking about naming her Rocki or Ali. Lol She is now safe and warm at the Little Paws kitten nursery where she purred for Jessica.

Mon: 3 trapped! 2 were buddies from The Port, the 3rd from my garage. 3rd kitty had to be released bc he was already ear-tipped. (Yay!) Here's Orange 1's release. Watch him go! Pics and updates coming.

*** Update 7/12*** Sadly, we had to return her to the streets. She was not making any progress in being less scared. It's nearly impossible to find a home for a terrified cat. After talking to some experts, they said that it it would be best to return her to the place she knows. It's hard, but sometimes that's what you have to do. Luckily, there are people feeding the cats in that area, so hopefully they will be able to keep an eye out for her. Best wishes for you, swee...t kitty! *********************************************** However, this is not a forever home, so we still need someone who would like to give her the love and attention she needs. She will need a month or more of work to get her back to a happy, social kitty. If you want to REALLY make a difference in a kitty's life, here's your chance! If you are working from home, or not working, this would be the perfect time to do something that matters! :) Adopt me! Gray 1 is scared, but not feral. She let me pet her and licked wet food from my fingers. She was likely dumped like so many others. You can see she has lots of Russian Blue in her bloodline, so she might be good for someone with allergies. She has been spayed, de-flead, and vaccinated. Long Beach, CA
