I have found especially right now during the coronavirus I can identify with Psalms more than ever before, they helped us show us how Justice is done by God even during difficult times many of them were written when King David was going through difficulty. They often reflect an honest portrayal of how the writer feels, then usually an account of how God has been... faithful in the past, and finally praise or expression of faith that God will take care of things in the future. this is a great way to organize our prayers: but it sounds can also be full of variety and on single topics. Look at as an example at Psalm 2:112 (NIV) 1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles. 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. 5 He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain. 7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, You are my son; today I have become your father. 8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery. 10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. 12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. What are the ways nations and leaders are raging today against God?Why is it so laughable when people get angry at God and blame him or go against God?How has God taken care of his people throughout history?How are we blessed if we take refuge in Him? Prayer Time: Spend some time giving over to God anything that makes you fear about our present situation world or Society. Spend time in prayer praising God for all the times he is helped his people in difficult situations in the Bible or even in your own life and experience. Praise God for his great power to deal with any situation and that whatever power goes against him is laughable? Remember that it is God that you should honor and respect above any other idea or power in this world? Spend time thanking God that you are blessed when you trust him while trusting him with everything. See more
