Today was planting day! Our afterschool friends pulled out the old plants, put in new soil, and planted some sunflowers seeds. We're so excited to watch our new plants grow!!

Super simple activity that can be recreated in your home! While using tongs, children use their thumb, first, and second fingers to squeeze and release. They learn to tuck their fourth and fifth fingers into the hand while working with the first three fingers. This is key in the progression of fine motor skills as they proceed to writing and cutting!
