Thank you so much @cdcgov for showing that Stylists can work even if they have Covid and will not spread it to their clients wearing appropriate personal protection equipment. There is barely a percentage of people getting Covid from stylists all around the country. Numbers are numbers and facts are facts!!! We are not the ones spreading this disease. We spent 1600 hours learning disinfecting and sanitation. I have spent thousands of dollars getting my salon ready and having all the proper PPE put in place. There is no reason why we can’t go back to work. My insurance won’t even cover me if Something Happens doing it outside of the salon. So this really isn’t even a fucking option for me. Hello. I know we are all very frustrated and can’t wait to get back in the salon. With that being said I also understand that we need to take as many safety precautions as possible. I would feel horrible to give someone Covid or to get it myself. And since we are in such close proximity to other people, we could be a huge perpetuator of this disease. I am confident in the health department making the correct decision at this place in time. I’m really itching to get back into ...the salon I feel like I have all the PPE in place. So when Santa Clara county gives me the go...I will be getting a hold of every client I have ASAP. I’ll be booking the first appointments based on the first batch of clients I had to cancel and go in order from there. I also want to thank every client that has supported me and sent me money out of the kindness of their heart. See more
