Summer 2020 in the Northern Hemisphere began on Saturday, June 20. It will end on Tuesday, September 22. For most areas, this means there remain seven weeks in the optimal time frame for you to sell your home. July’s home sales in the Silicon Valley show that the Real Estate Market is still selling homes quickly and at a higher price than those sold in June. This time, we have completed a monthly Comparable Market Analysis of seven major cities in the Silicon Valley: Cuper...tino, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Attached is a monthly Snapshot of the Comparable Market Analysis (CMA) for the month of July for the aforementioned cities. From the CMA attached, one can observe that the city of Cupertino suffered the highest drop in price at over -5.13% for homes smaller than 1,400 square feet. Homes in the city of Palo Alto dropped in price for all home sizes. For all other cities, homes of all sizes see an increase from a low of +0.65% to the high of +6.64%. All homes belonging to the seven cities have rapidly been sold within 7 to 17 days on the market. The Real Estate Market after COVID-19 can be complex.
