Are you getting vaccinated? We can help! More and more people are getting vaccinated and have concerns about experiencing adverse side effects. According to the NY Times, side effects can include fatigue, headache, muscle aches, fever, brain fog, and nausea and are more likely to be experienced by women. We have put together a special herbal formula, which can be taken before or after vaccination, to combat these reactions. Contact us for more information.

Masks are still required for everyone (regardless of vaccination status) in health care settings per the new California mask mandate announced June 15th. The CDC emphasized that new masking recommendations for people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not apply to health care settings. Maintaining a safe environment for our patients and staff is our top priority. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC and local/state government regulations. Please continu...e to: Wear your mask before entering the facility & inside anywhere other than your individual treatment room Reschedule your appointment if you have cold/flu symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and cough or if you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the latest developments and keep you updated on our policies.

1. SCHEDULE WISELY. DON’T RUSH. A treatment takes about 30 minutes. We recommend allotting an hour for treatment just to be safe. Account for time variables such as changing, scheduling future appointments, using the restroom, purchasing herbal medicine, and consulting with your practitioner. Ensuring you have ample time for treatment prevents you from being late for other engagements and being stressed during your treatment. 2. HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT. Acupuncture stim...ulates the body’s natural healing process. It takes energy to heal, so be sure you have some fuel in the tank. An empty stomach can cause low blood sugar and leave you feeling lightheaded or physically depleted after treatment. Eating before hand also prevents you from being distracted by a growling hungry stomach. 3. TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE. This is your time, no ones else’s. This is a time for healing. Make it count. You don’t want to distract yourself (or others) with a ringing or buzzing phone. 4. WEAR LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING This makes it easy for your practitioner to access where they would like to place needles. There are 365 acupuncture points on the body along 12 meridians, or pathways. If your coming in for digestion concerns, you might imagine that you will only have needles placed on your stomach. However, your practitioner will most likely place needles all along the meridian, utilizing both local and distal points, to facilitate freely flowing Qi. 5. RELAX! Take a few deep breaths before your appointment. Try to let go of any frustrations or anxiety you may have brought with you. Get comfortable. Remember to be patient and have realistic expectations, healing takes time. Trust in the healing journey and in yourself. If you have any questions or concerns, ask your practitioner! Once the needles have all been placed, close your eyes & focus on your breathing. This is the time to clear your mind, meditate, or even take a nap! Following these tips will help you to get the most out of your treatment.
