Eesh. Last day. No more 2020. Yeehaw! My year was filled with ups and downs and roller coasters and things that I will cherish and other things that I would love to forget. I think that may be true for all of us. ... Through all of it, I have always held the position of being grateful - having gratitude in the little things even if you don't think there is much there to be grateful for. It's always there. Sometimes you have to look really hard for it, but it is there. I leaned into new, wonderful relationships and strengthening other long-standing ones. I focused on the today rather than dwell on the uncertain future. To me, that was the only way to save my sanity and not worry about running out of toilet paper...again. Reflecting back, I am so very grateful to have been a part of my clients dreams and goals. I've said it many times before, but that is what truly fuels me as I know that I am making a difference in their lives and families. The dream "compound" in Venice, the mountain home in time for Christmas, the 5 year plan of moving up realized, the forever home...so many stories, smiles, moments and life goal accomplishments. And I got to be a part of it. I'm so honored and privileged. So, to my old friends, new friends, new client friends, and everyone who means anything to me, I wish 2021 to be bright and happy. That's it - a short and sweet wish. And I know it will be if we choose to make it that way. This little monster, who is sleeping so soundly now, was an absolute terror today. Antsy, off, a little skittish and uncertain. Spooked. . It reminds me of how a lot of us have been since March. For this little one (and me), it was going out for two very long walks and exploring the world under the restrictions that we have. We saw boats and birds and a beautiful ocean sunset. And at the end of the day, there is solace. And we are better for it. . Animals teach us a lot if... we pay attention. This sometimes forces to. I didn’t want to venture out and had other things going on but made myself to take the time. . If you’re uncertain, and stressed and don’t really know what to do, force yourself to get outside and spend some time in nature and see the beauty in the world that is there despite what is going on.
