Meet resident Emily R., who we are spotlighting in honor of National Centenarian's Day. She celebrated her 100th birthday this year and had 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren! The riskiest thing she has ever done was when she got on a motorcycle with her husband and left Germany in 1939. Her advice to us all? "Stay active and be social!"

In honor of National Centenarian's Day on September 22nd, we are celebrating resident Eileen H., who is 100 years young. Eileen was born in 1920 and grew up as an only child in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eileen received her college degree in special education and taught first and second grade. Her favorite activities include dancing and swimming which provide her with wonderful sense of joy. Her secret to longevity? Just live a healthy life, eat fruits and vegetables. Get a lot of exercise and most especially rest.
