Last February our beloved co op closed unexpectedly. We were so sad to lose it. It was a refuge for both little D and me. I was so enthusiastic when Ms. Liberty called to inform us we had been accepted into this Gem of a space. Oasis Organic is like an extension of our home as one of the mamas said to me at drop off today. And that couldn’t be any more precise.... There are goats, chickens, a cat, a dog and Daniels favorite, a TURTLE! The philosophy aligns perfectly with mine offering autonomy, child led learning and peaceful resolution. There is an art bungalow as well as indoor play and reading space. We are still unschooling at home and worldschooling in life. Daniel will be attending 2 days at Oasis offering me some tine to start my new business that’s been brewing since I sold @natureswhisper I am also able to open up more spots for guiding women through coaching and accountability practices. I’m looking forward to sharing this deep growth I have and am experiencing with others. Scoliosis workshop!! It’s so important to do your practice in a way that supports what’s happening in your spine. Especially if you have scoliosis.

I remember my mom purposefully messing up on phrases or hip songs and sayings just to get my goat. She would dance crazy in the car or twirl her finger like she was following the beat to my latest cool song, but only at stoplights or at an important drop off. I’m having so much fun doing this to #LittleD His unbelievable giggle reminds me of how I felt when my mom would tease me. I feel her moving me in motherhood most days. Some days I shake my head and fist at her when t...he parts I don’t want creep in. But most days I live the joy of how she must have felt when I giggled at her fun, silly self. Tomorrow marks the anniversary of the day she took her last breath. I’m still pissed about that! However, It was a beautiful day. She showed me god in full divine glory. (Another post on that) She would have loved seeing me as a mother. I’m sure my ways would have also made her crazy. I know for a fact my kids mouth would have tried her last nerve. I wish her and D could be here on earth in relationship. I wish I could call her today actually. To ask her opinion of what I should do with these numerous life challenges I’m having. She’d surely have some advice I would be annoyed about but follow anyway. Well mom, as I said, I’m still pissed you left so early but so grateful a piece of me knew my whole life that I needed to indulge in your beauty and dance with you while I could. Some say I look like you. I don’t always see it. But here is a selfie of me trying to be a good mom on a hard single momming day. I remember how strong you were as a single mom. It helps me most days. Do you see my pretend smile here? I recognize that smile. You taught it to me in the hardest of times. Fake it till you make it was the advice you gave me often. I didn’t want to fake it. I wanted to be graceful like you. So here I am!
